From the Owner....            Christy Reynolds-Young

Hello,

I wanted to introduce myself; I am Christy Reynolds -Young owner of Midwest Cheer/Dance.

I can't believe that we are celebrating our 16th year!  I started Midwest Cheer/Dance because of my passion of the sport and for the love of the area that I grew up in.  There were no local competitions close to Northwest Indiana.  Teams always had to travel to go to professional competitions.  I truly wanted to give back to this area and produce a professional and economical competition.  Which we did, and a couple of years from its beginning, I saw the need for an economical NATIONAL competition in the Midwest . And birthed the Open Nationals at the Kalahari (America's Largest Indoor Water Park) Sandusky, Ohio.

I have been blessed with a professional and passionate staff.  Many have been with me since day ONE ! 

I love working with children. I have my BA degree in elementary education and I have taught many years. Having been a  coach for cheer/dance at the Youth,   All Star, High School, and College level for many years and a judge for Local, regional, and National level competitions the cheer/dance industry is truly a passion for me.

Very few can say that they love their job, but I can say that I DO.  Every time I look out  at the young people (athletes) at the awards ceremony, I realize that I have played a part in making their dreams come true! and NOTHING IS MORE REWARDING than seeing their bright smiles!

I have always maintained that everything that we do at Midwest Cheer/Dance is for the KIDS (athletes)!

 I am excited to meet and work with all of you!
